Review a scale-conversion example.
Review a worked scale-conversion example and its before-and-after dimensions. New model scaling is paused.
File submission is paused for this tool.
You can inspect the scaled example and size report below. This tool cannot accept a model right now, including after sign-in.
Scaled output + size report.
- 01Inspect
Read the file-derived axis-aligned X, Y, and Z extents. STL values use the site's millimeter display/import convention because STL stores no unit.
- 02Convert
Scale every coordinate uniformly about the file origin. Rotation is unchanged; offsets from the origin scale too.
- 03Download
Receive the scaled output and a text report showing the before/after size.
1 × 2 × 3 becomes 25.4 × 50.8 × 76.2 mm.
The service applied the explicit 25.4× option to the sample STL. The ZIP contains the scaled geometry and its before/after report.
The generated example remains available while file submission is paused. This fixture has no claimed physical size; verify your own model against a real measurement.
STL does not store a real-world unit. Use source documentation or a known physical dimension to calculate the factor, then check every fit-critical dimension and tolerance before printing.
