01

Decision checkpoint

Before you price

Review file-derived dimensions and mesh findings, then use the actual slicer and business records for material usage, time, labor, overhead, packaging, shipping, fees, tax, and margin.

Record before pricing

  • Which file and dimensions the customer actually approved
  • What support, cleanup, and uncertainty the quote includes
  • Which result still needs a slicer or physical check
02

Decision checkpoint

Before you list

Save source and original-design evidence, review current marketplace policy, and keep copyright permission separate from marketplace eligibility.

Keep the evidence trail

  • The public source URL and stated license
  • Any attribution or commercial-use conditions
  • The unresolved questions that require deeper review
03

Decision checkpoint

Before you sell or ship

Run bounded file checks, apply only an evidence-based scale conversion, prepare listing layouts from a real photo, compare supplied evidence, and physically validate any adapted packaging.

Check the customer handoff

  • Confirm the model scale and the physical product dimensions
  • Compare the listing and product photo with what the customer will receive
  • Allow for packaging clearance, protection, and finishing
04

Decision checkpoint

Before production

Share an unlocked saved report for review, then capture any binding price, payment, terms, and production authorization in the business system that owns the order.

Confirm before production

  • Confirm the prepared model and review its sliced toolpath
  • Check orientation, supports, material, and the actual printer limits
  • Keep customer approval for any repair or dimensional changes

From question to working part

Good handoffs preserve what changed and why.

A model can be printable and still be wrong for the job. Keep the file, source, decision, and customer expectation connected.

What happens next

Use the workflow that matches the evidence you have now.
